Executive Board, Women in Law Society
Lillian G. Murphy is a third-year law student at Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law and a current law clerk at the Law Offices of Meredith Mochel. With a background in sociology and political science, and years of hands-on legal experience, Lillian is actively preparing for a career in criminal defense and family law.
Lillian earned her Bachelor of Science in Sociology, with a minor in Political Science, from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2022. During her undergraduate studies, she was a member of Alpha Kappa Delta, the International Honor Society of Sociology, and participated in UTC’s Mock Trial program. She made the Dean’s List and completed multiple internships with the Law Offices of Meredith Mochel before being promoted to full-time staff and, later, a Summer Associate role in 2024.
In addition to her continued work with the firm, she is a member of the Animal Legal Defense Fund, the Criminal Defense Society, and serves on the executive board of the Women in Law Society—where she helps connect aspiring female students with established women attorneys.
Lillian is a member of the Knoxville Bar Association and has volunteered with the Chattanooga Area Food Bank since 2018.

Lillian is committed to public service and has volunteered with the Chattanooga Greater Area Food Bank since 2018. Outside of law, she enjoys walking her dog, reading mystery novels, and traveling.
